MY SEAHORSES ARE BACK HOME! (My Most Difficult Pet Yet)

such a highly requested video. THE MOST FRAGILE, SENSITIVE, AND DELICATE PETS I’VE EVER KEPT... Meet my seahorses! Also some info on how to take care of them :)
For new subscribers and those who didn't follow the seahorse story before this: last time didn’t end too well. my last pair was great for about 7 months, then died within weeks of each other. Long story short, turns out my “captive bred” pair was actually wild caught, and had been harboring a parasite that had been laying dormant in them just waiting for the time to strike. My male got pregnant, and that’s when all hell broke loose. The female died after transferring her eggs randomly (went from healthy, active, and eating to dead within 24 hrs) and the male died mid term after aborting his babies. I tried to treat the parasite which did prolong his life a little bit, but sadly they still lost the fight.
After that awful situation I’m very nervous to have my other two back in my own tank. I gave them to an aquarium shop I trust to babysit them while I got things in order, and finally picked them back up 4 months later and brought them home to this new tank!
The good news is, I had them for 3 months, then they were at the aquarium shop for 4 months, and they're still in great shape! which is a good sign these sisters are doing great.
It's also important to note these are captive bred erectus seahorses, while the two that passed where wild caught kudas!
if you get your seahorses from the right place and take care of the tank correctly, you should have no issues. sadly it can be hard to find a place that sells seahorses that are in good shape and captive bred. but I hope this video helped you get an idea on how to start a tank if you wanted to!
